Trinity Fatu (Naomi) has now been announced for WrestleCon 2023, amid uncertainty surrounding her in-ring career.
It was revealed on Twitter that Naomi will be at the wrestling convention set to take place during WrestleMania 39 week.
After sharing a graphic, notably advertising the star under her real name, Trinity Fatu, rather than her WWE name, Naomi, WrestleCon confirmed that Fatu will be at sessions 3 and 4 on April 1 and 2.
The convention will take place in Los Angeles, meaning that Fatu will be in the city when WWE hosts WrestleMania from SoFi Stadium, also on April 1 and 2.
This announcement has fuelled speculation that Fatu is no longer under contract with WWE, with some believing that if she was still with WWE, they wouldn’t have her making independent appearances during WrestleMania weekend.
Naomi hasn’t wrestled since May 2022, when she and Sasha Banks walked out on a WWE Raw taping.
Banks now wrestles as Mercedes Mone outside of WWE. She notably won the IWGP Women’s Title from KAIRI during her return to the ring at the February 18 NJPW Battle in the Valley show.
Fatu’s former tag partner Ariane Andrew (fka Cameron) recently stated that Fatu has been recovering from an injury.
We will have further updates on Naomi’s status with WWE when they become available.
