Sound the alarms people, it is really happening. There has just been a huge AEW debut announced on tonight’s Dynamite (July 12).
The final members of AEW’s upcoming Blood and Guts match were revealed for both The Elite and the Blackpool Combat Club.
While Don Callis came out to the ring “alone” to announce the final member of the Blackpool Combat Club, it wasn’t long before Kenny Omega joined him in the ring.
However the pair wouldn’t see a chance to tangle for long as a returning PAC revealed himself to be the fifth and final member of team Blackpool Combat Club.
PAC hasn’t been seen in AEW since back in January when the Elite had the best of seven series with Death Triangle.
In a subsequent beatdown, PAC was primed to lay a big stomp on Kenny with his neck in between a steel chair when Moxley asked Omega if he had any last words.
Kenny reminded the Blackpool Combat Club that the Elite also still had a mystery partner yet to be revealed and everyone should check the screen.
Living up to the hype, Kota Ibushi was then announced for next week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, joining the Elite to form ‘The Golden Elite’ for next week’s Blood and Guts match.
The Young Bucks and Hangman Adam Page then appeared to make the save as the Elite remained in the ring as BCC retreated, continuing their war of words in advance of their match next week.
The Blood and Guts match is AEW’s version of the WarGames match, configuring two rings into one big cage, usually as the culmination of a feud between two factions.
The full lineup for the Blackpool Combat Club is the returning PAC, Jon Moxley, Konosuke Takeshita, Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta, while the Elite’s team is made up of the debuting Kota Ibushi, Kenny Omega, the Young Bucks and Adam Page.
