The feud between AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura in WWE has been a mixed bag of excitement and disappointment. Their first encounter at this years WrestleMania didn’t live up to the ‘dream match’ billing expected by many and paled in comparison to their epic encounter at Wrestle Kingdom 10.
Since then, however, every encounter has gotten better than their last, with their recent last man standing match at Money In The Bank being their best. Styles won that match and with that, the feud was seemingly over. That was until tonight.
BREAKING: @WWE Champion @AJStylesOrg will go one-on-one with @ShinsukeN TOMORROW NIGHT on #SDLive! https://t.co/GLYO6CEDEV

WWE announced last night, that the ‘Phenomenal One’ will be facing the ‘King of Strong Style’ in a non-title match on the last SmackDown Live before Extreme Rules. It is an unusual matchup considering both stars have moved on to feuds with Rusev and Jeff Hardy respectively. Does this indicate a future revisit to their feud? Or is it just a way to add intrigue to both matches before Sunday.
