Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre
This was a strange one wasn’t it?
I’ve been wondering since his pointless return as number 30 at the Royal Rumble in January what the plan for Dolph Ziggler actually is. Honestly, I think WWE have been wondering the same thing, but last night the next chapter for Ziggler seems to have been drafted (get it?).
Dolph interrupted Titus Worldwide – who else noticed that Apollo Crews has his surname back? – and following a rousing speech from Titus about how Dolph should join the group, Ziggler regretfully informed him that he would be unable to join as he had not come to Raw alone.
Drew McIntyre appeared from outta nowhere to attack Titus and Apollo, and finished the beatdown with a combined claymore/zig-zag move on Crews.
If this is a new tag-team – which is the only thing that would make sense now – then I’m not really sure how to feel. McIntyre got a huge pop and the crowd chants were loud, so if this is WWE‘s attempt to finally give Ziggler a fresh run, then they’ve made a good choice.
I would have preferred to see Drew return as a singles competitor, but there’s plenty of time for that in the future. For now I can genuinely see the two becoming a force on Monday nights, and I look forward to seeing what’s next.
Quick note: all the members of 3MB are now on Raw…
