The show opened with a recap of the events leading up to the main event at Redemption – Pentagon Jr. vs. Rey Fenix vs. Austin Aries.
We got a little preview of the match from Impact vs. Lucha Underground, including the outcome of the match – this is particularly annoying because that match would become the main event of this very show, meaning that anyone who hadn’t managed to see the match yet had just been spoiled.
It’s still interesting to me that they refer to El Patron Directly, showing video of him and the tweet announcing his departure from the company. Perhaps I’m still too used to WWE’s way of doing things, but it just seems so unusual to have that kind of direct reference to a talent that has left.
