IMPACT Wrestling has announced the IMPACT World Title match and a pair of legendary rivals uniting for the upcoming IMPACT 1000 show.
On Saturday, September 9, IMPACT Wrestling will hold the tapings for their 1000th episode of their weekly program.
Already announced for the show, IMPACT Hall of Famer Awesome Kong will make her in-ring return for the first time in three years. Now, it looks like Kong won’t be alone for the historic show.
On Wednesday, August 30, the company posted a video of fellow IMPACT Hall of Famer Gail Kim announcing she will unite with Awesome Kong to team up on IMPACT 1000.
Kim also invited Knockouts from the past or present to join them and stand by their side in a match or fight against them.
IMPACT 1000 will also see Alex Shelley defending the IMPACT World Championship against Trey Miguel. This will mark Miguel’s first opportunity at the IMPACT World Title since Slammiversary 2020.
Also announced for the event, the Ultimate X and Feast Or Fired stipulations will make their returns, while Team 3D’s Bully Ray and D-Von will reunite in a match on the show.
BREAKING: If @MeanQueenK is returning to the ring at #IMPACT1000, SO IS @gailkimITSME! Gail and Kong will UNITE on Sept. 9 in White Plains, NY and Gail has invited any Knockout past or present to either stand with them or against them!
