Following Roman Reigns’ main event match with Jey Uso at SummerSlam it was reported that the Tribal Chief had sustained an injury during the early stages of the contest.
Now, however, there has been an important new update on Reigns’ status, and what it could mean for his schedule in the near-future.
According to Fightful Select, Reigns’ injury was not a back issue.
In regards to how it will affect Reigns’ immediate plans, Fightful notes that the WWE Undisputed Universal Champion is “not expected to miss any scheduled dates to to his injury as of now”
However, Fightful does state that this could change, with specifics still not yet known on the issue.
Whatever the case, Reigns did appear on this past week’s SmackDown on August 11, even taking some of Jey’s offence in the ring, seemingly suggesting that the issue isn’t too severe.
Regardless of Roman’s current status, the head of the table does not seem to factor into WWE’s immediate plans as all members of The Bloodline are set to miss this week’s Smackdown (August 18).
In their place, WWE has positioned a particularly popular star as the main attraction on the poster for the event, click here to find out more.
