An important WWE name has confirmed that they are set to undergo shoulder surgery in the near future.
Speaking on his Something to Wrestle podcast, WWE Executive Director of Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown Bruce Prichard revealed that he’s set to go under the knife next week.
Prichard revealed:
“I said I would never get another shoulder surgery, and in one week (he points to his left shoulder), this one gets cut and ripped apart, labrum sewn up and rotator gets sewn up and chips out of my ball joint and all that good s**t.”
It’s unclear how long Prichard will be absent from his current responsibilities and who will perhaps will fill in for him in his absence.
Prichard took charge of last week’s Monday Night Raw from Nashville, TN on November 27 in Triple H’s absence – with WWE’s Chief Content Officer reportedly missing the event due to being in Los Angeles, CA along with WWE President Nick Khan.
Triple H and Khan have reportedly been working on securing a new media rights deal for Monday Night Raw, with both SmackDown and NXT recently being announced for deals with USA Network and CW Network respectively.
Stay tuned to WrestleTalk for any updates on Raw’s new TV deal.
We would also like to extend our well-wishes to Prichard ahead of his upcoming shoulder surgery.
