“Jungle” Jack Perry has shared an emotional message after winning the AEW National Championship at Revolution 2026.

In a match that began during the AEW Revolution 2026 Zero Hour and concluded during the opening moments of the main show, Ricochet had the odds firmly against him as he defended his AEW National Championship against 20 other stars in a Blackjack Battle Royal.

After pursuing the title and Ricochet since late last year, Jack Perry entered the match as the favorite in the eyes of many fans, especially given that Revolution was taking place in Perry’s backyard of Los Angeles, California.

And ultimately it was indeed Perry’s night, last eliminating Ricochet to earn his first title since his run as TNT Champion ended in November 2024.

Jack Perry Dedicates His Title Win To His Late Father Luke Perry

Speaking in an AEW social media exclusive interview after the match, Jack Perry reflected on coming to watch wrestling in the Crypto.com Arena as a kid and now walking out of the same venue as a champion.

However, the moment, he admitted, was “bittersweet” as the one person he wishes could have been present to watch his achievement was not there – that being his late father Luke Perry, who passed away on March 4, 2019.

Perry said:

“Well, I couldn’t be happier right now, because that checked a lot of boxes for me. That was revenge for my best friend, that was the end of my quest for the National Championship. And that was something I’ve been dreaming about for a long, long time.

“I haven’t been to this building for years and years since I was a little kid and I used to come here and watch wrestling. And it was bittersweet today because I thought about the one person I wish could be here with me and who could see it and he couldn’t.

“I don’t know who knows the way this s**t works. Hopefully he could see this from somewhere. But I got to share this with my family, my mom, my sister, my best friends, all the people of Los Angeles.

“It’s not been the golden road that I thought it once might be but I wouldn’t change a thing because I’m here today. I’ve got an injured dinosaur, I’ve got a badass bus and I’ve got the National Championship. So to me, sounds like we need to go on a national tour. See you there.”

What Happened With The Other Championship Matches At AEW Revolution?

Jack Perry’s AEW National Title win was one of three title changes to take place during Revolution 2026.

While the likes of Jon Moxley, Thekla, FTR and MJF retained their gold on the night, The Divine Dominion (Lena Kross & Megan Bayne) defeated Babes of Wrath (Harley Cameron & Willow Nightingale) for the AEW Women’s Tag Team Titles and Mistico & JetSpeed (Kevin Knight & Speedball Mike Bailey) dethroned The Don Callis Family (Kazuchika Okada, Kyle Fletcher & Mark Davis) for the AEW World Trios Titles.
