In what was possibly her last AEW match, find out what went down between Jade Cargill and Kris Statlander in tonight’s big Rampage main event.
As was widely known prior to the match airing because of the situation, Statlander retained the title clean, handing Cargill only her second ever AEW loss.
After the match, Cargill was shown on the televised edit hugging Statlander as well as appearing a bit uncharacteristically emotional for her typically brazen and bold on-screen persona.
Obviously Cargill’s apparent departure wasn’t mentioned on the show, and instead it was presented by commentary as just a show of respect between the two women.
Shortly after the match was initially taped two days ago, news broke that it was expected Cargill would be heading to WWE and this was her last match with AEW.
As of now, that’s still not official, but all signs do seem to be pointing in that direction.
As for Statlander’s future, she will defend her TBS Championship against Britt Baker live AEW Collision tomorrow night.
We’ll keep you posted with any more updates on Cargill’s status.
