A WWE Hall of Famer has admitted to “begging” to help AEW booking.
In 2020, Jake Roberts signed with All Elite Wrestling and has worked in multiple different roles. From manager to Lance Archer and working as a producer/coach, Roberts has been beneficial to the promotion.
Despite all these different roles, Roberts hasn’t been shy about wanting to do more for AEW moving forward.
On the latest episode of “The Snake Pit” podcast, Roberts discussed booking during his time wrestling in Georgia. When asked about the idea to contribute to the company’s booking with AEW adding a third show in Collision, the WWE Hall of Famer said:
“Absolutely. I would love the opportunity. Just give me fifteen minutes a show. Let me put something together … I know that I can help. I’m begging for that job.”
As of late, Tony Khan has been adding to the company’s braintrust on the creative side. In addition to stars such as Bryan Danielson and Dax Harwood being involved, Khan also hired former WWE and IMPACT writer Jimmy Jacobs.
Also, former ROH wrestler Chris Hero has now been brought in to work backstage on a trial basis, starting with the debut of AEW Collision and the Ring of Honor tapings.
