Jeff Jarrett Comments On Surprise AEW Arrival AEW

The November 2 edition of AEW Dynamite saw the surprise arrival of WWE Hall of Famer and prominent wrestling promoter, Jeff Jarrett.

Jarrett has since remarked on his new role since becoming All Elite.

In a Twitter post replying to Tony Khan’s announcement, Jarrett said that he was “really looking forward to things to come – both in front of and behind the camera.”

Jeff Jarrett made his appearance on AEW Dynamite after Jay Lethal defeated Darby Allin in a grudge match that opened the show.

AEW production staff had fun teasing the appearance of Sting, with former member of The Factory, Cole Karter, assisting Lethal in his win while dressed as Sting.

Sting’s music also played prior to Jeff Jarrett’s entrance, adding to the element of surprise.

Jarrett wasted no time in bringing the AEW locker room, and the fanbase, down a peg or two.

He attacked a defeated Darby Allin and smashed an acoustic guitar over his head for good measure.

Following AEW Dynamite, Tony Khan confirmed Jeff Jarrett’s status within the promotion as both a performer and as the new AEW Director of Business Development.

Jarrett’s tweet acknowledged his new role both in-ring and behind the scenes with a nod to his bold guitar attack.

AEW CEO Tony Khan had said on Jarrett’s arrival:

Welcome to #AEWDynamite to the new AEW Director of Business Development @RealJeffJarrettI look forward to expanding the @AEW live events calendar in 2023 + in future years with JJ, @rmorfnyc, @mookieghana and our entire great AEW team. Jeff Jarrett is All Elite!

Jeff Jarrett is a WWE and an IMPACT Hall of Famer. Earlier this year, he rejoined WWE as Senior Vice President of Live Events in May 2022. He was subsequently released by WWE in August 2022 and his shoes have since been filled by ‘Road Dogg’ Brian James at WWE.

AEW is perhaps setting an example that one promotion’s loss is another promotion’s gain.
