John Cena Explains How He Broke Ice With Hollywood Actor WWE

Former 16-time WWE World Champion John Cena has explained how he broke the ice with a famed Hollywood actor.

John Cena’s transition from WWE to the world of Hollywood may be one of the most fascinating of all those who made similar jumps.

Cena’s unique sense of humor and timing has benefitted him greatly in his new career, but his experience in wrestling has helped him in forging relationships with those in his field.

One actor who may appreciate Cena’s background more than others is Zac Efron, who recently starred as Kevin Von Erich in “The Iron Claw” film. Both men are set to star in the upcoming film, “Ricky Stanicky,” set to hit theaters on March 8.

In a new interview with Indiewire, both John Cena and Zac Efron spoke about the world of sports entertainment and how their past experiences broke the ice between them. Cena explained:

“I started it, and I always talk about it because it’s something that I love. Zac had just come off of finishing ‘The Iron Claw,’ and I’d seen pictures that got leaked, and I was very excited about what a story about the Von Erichs might look like.”

“That’s kind of how I broke the ice with Zac. And once I start talking about sports entertainment, I don’t shut up,

On Cena being someone who he found easy to talk to about his experience on “The Iron Claw,” Efron said:

“It was great for me because I finished ‘The Iron Claw’ and went straight into filming this,”

“I hadn’t talked about that experience with anyone. After spending 10 minutes with John, I realized that probably nobody knows more about.”

John Cena also revealed where his loyalties lie between WWE and Hollywood in a new interview, which you can read at this link.
