John Cena Takes Hilarious Look Back At WWE Debut

John Cena Takes Hilarious Look Back At WWE Debut WWE

John Cena has had an illustrious career in WWE and has recently looked back at his debut against Kurt Angle.

The man who would go on to be thirteen time WWE Champion made his onscreen debut in June 2002 answering an open challenge from Kurt Angle on SmackDown.

Declaring that he had “ruthless aggression”, it would be a pivotal moment in WWE programming, even if Cena didn’t leave with the win.

Reflecting on the encounter with Angle on social media, Cena took a rye look back at his “Johnny Boots-and-Tights” appearance, saying:

“Here it is, the moment we’ve all be waiting for, the debut of Johnny Boots-and-Tights on SmackDown in 2002.

“Chicago, Illinois is the location, Kurt Angle is the man and he’s called out Johnny Boots-and-Tights

“There he is on SmackDown, red tights, red boots and all.

“Kurt Angle berating me for my style and the fact that I couldn’t get a seamstress to appropriately fit my wardrobe.

“He’s saying “what’s making me any different than anyone else?”

“And, of course, it’s the look on my face that is the exact same look that I make when I have a bowel movement, so you know that I am serious.

“And, two words that would define a whole era in WWE – Ruthless Aggression.

“As I look back on this, I’m probably moving as fast as I ever have in a WWE ring.

“But, alas, an Olympic gold medalist is too much for a rookie and in three seconds my hopes, dreams and future are shattered.

“What an amazing debut, capped by an effort just not enough.

“The look on my face says it all.

“We’ve come full circle, you can let the jokes rain down as you wish.

“There you have it, the debut of Johnny Boots-and-Tights Cena.”
