John Cena says there’s never been a better time for WWE than now.
Ahead of WWE Payback, John Cena made his return to the company for the first time since a surprise appearance at Money In The Bank in London, England.
The WWE that Cena returns to is much different than his previous stints in the promotion with more young stars in prominent positions than ever before.
From The Judgment Day to the growing crop of talent in NXT, the future seems brighter than ever for WWE, and it seems the 16-time world champion agrees.
On the latest episode of WWE’s The Bump, John Cena discussed the youth movement in WWE. He said:
“There’s never been a better time for WWE than now, from all the things from a business standpoint that’s going on, for the influx of talent that we have, through the advancement of the recruiting progress, we’re gaining the best, we currently feel the best, and our future is on an upward trajectory, and I say ‘our’ future because I will always consider myself part of the WWE family, and it’s awesome to see.”
“I’ve had thoughts of ‘whatever will they do without me?’ They will go on, and they will be fine, and it really is awesome to see WWE better than it was in 2010, better than it was in 2015, it’s a better place now than it was when I was a full-time performer, and that’s awesome to see.”

John Cena will be mixing it up with the young stars in the WWE Performance Center when he makes a rare appearance on the October 10 edition of WWE NXT to be in Carmelo Hayes’ corner for his match with Bron Breakker.
Before that appearance, Cena will team with LA Knight to face The Bloodline’s Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa at this Saturday’s WWE Fastlane premium live event.
