An update has emerged on John Cena’s current status for WrestleMania 39, ahead of his upcoming WWE return.
With WrestleMania 39 set to emanate from California’s SoFi Stadium on April 1 and 2, it has been heavily speculated that WWE will feature several stars with connections to Hollywood on the show.
Among the rumored names is John Cena, who many have predicted will wrestle at the event.
Cena is slated to make his in-ring return on the December 30 edition of SmackDown, set to team with Kevin Owens to face Roman Reigns & Sami Zayn.
Per Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it is believes that Cena will be at WrestleMania 39.
Commenting on the 16-time World Champion’s busy calendar, Meltzer noted that Cena is working on his schedule to make a WrestleMania appearance work.
Cena will reportedly be filming for a movie outside the US through most of February and March. It was noted that there were plans at one point for Cena to face off against Theory at the event, however these plans were made when Vince McMahon was in charge, so either star may have other plans for the event now.
