Kevin Owens has provided an update on his neck injury after leaving WWE television in March due to requiring neck surgery.

Kevin Owens and Randy Orton were on a collision course for a match at WrestleMania 41, but the match never ended up taking place due to Kevin Owens requiring neck surgery.

Orton would instead issue an open challenge on the show, which was answered by TNA World Champion Joe Hendry, while Owens has not made an appearance on WWE television since the announcement.

Owens served as the grand marshal for the NASCAR Coke Zero Sugar 400 race at Daytona, also appearing at the press conference after the event, where he was asked about his neck surgery that he underwent last month.

Owens revealed that he only needed fusion on one level, which he notes was the best case scenario for his situation.

He added that it now depends how the bones fuse and how he heals, but he is hoping to make a return to the ring within the next year if the recovery from the surgery goes well.

We wish Owens all the best on his recovery from his surgery.
