Kevin Owens has shared an intriguing post amid his ongoing in-ring absence, seemingly teasing his return to the ring.

Owens has been out of action for over 16 months, with the star announcing an in-ring hiatus ahead of WrestleMania 41 in 2025 due to a neck injury which required surgery.

On Tuesday (July 7), Owens took to Twitter to share a post which has fuelled speculation about his future.

Owens shared a photo of WWE legend The Boogeyman, who poses while holding a clock.

Many fans have speculated that this is a return tease, believing Kevin Owens is indicating that it will soon be “time” for his return.

This post also comes after Owens’ long-time friend and rival Sami Zayn dropped the Undisputed WWE Championship to CM Punk on the July 6 Raw episode.

With Owens previously posting about Zayn’s WWE Championship win at Night of Champions, some have interpreted Owens’ Boogeyman post as his reaction, and a potential tease for him also entering the title picture.

Kevin Owens last wrestled at Elimination Chamber in March 2025, defeating Sami Zayn in an Unsanctioned match.

While he hasn’t stepped into the ring since, Owens has been featured in other forms of WWE programming away from the ring, appearing on several panel shows, and as a coach on WWE LFG.

With the exception of Kevin Owens tweeting that he missed wrestling in late-May, we haven’t had an official update on Owens’ health or potential return plans in a number of months.

Owens did state in August 2025 that he only needed fusion on one level while speaking about his surgery, which he called the best case scenario for his situation.

We will continue to provide updates on Kevin Owens as they become available.
