WWE. and wrestling as a whole, has been really struck by the injury bug this year, with several top stars from both companies missing extended time away due to injury.
Former WWE Champion Big E has been out of action since February, after he suffered a broken neck on an episode of SmackDown.
E has provided several positive updates over the past few months, including recently where he showed himself moving his neck around without a neck brace on.
E’s injury has left Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods alone as a duo in the mean time. Kofi appeared on Instagram Live on WWE Deutschland, where he was asked about the injury and how the former WWE Champion is healing.
Kofi said:
“He’s doing really, really good man, all things considered. The latest update from his neck was that his C1 wasn’t ossifying, and that’s producing bone, so they’re going to take some CAT Scans, maybe I think six months, and also a year just to see. But other than that, like, he’s been able to come out of the brace. I think he came out of the brace earlier this month and he’s able to travel.”
“We’re just all trying to take it one day at a time and he doesn’t need surgery, which is a great thing. So, he’s doing really, really well. Getting better and better every single day. Getting stronger and stronger, per usual.”
Kofi and Woods have recently found themselves up against the ‘new, vicious’ Viking Raiders on SmackDown while Big E recovers.
