Linda McMahon has spoken out and joined the growing list of top US politicians who claim not to be the author of the op-ed article published by the New York Times earlier this week.
The article, published anonymously on September 5th, is incredibly critical of the Trump presidency. The piece uses terms like ‘anti-trade’, ‘anti-democratic’ and ‘reckless’ to describe the President. Furthermore, the scathing 989 word document has been seen as so toxic that many senior republican politicians have been publicly distancing themselves from the text. At the time of writing, Mike Pence (Vice President), Steven Mnuchin (Treasury Secretary), Mike Pompeo (Secretary of State) and Dan Coats (Director of National Intelligence) are among over 20 members of Trump’s team who have denied writing the editorial.
Linda took to Twitter to add her name to the growing list of people who claim not to have written the text:
I am not author of the anonymous @nytimes op-ed. @realDonaldTrump has a clear governing vision for the country and his record of results is remarkable. I am proud to serve as a member of President Trump’s @Cabinet to advocate on behalf of America’s 30 million small businesses.

Linda McMahon currently heads up the US Small Business Administration, a US Government agency. Certainly the McMahons have enjoyed a longstanding positive relationship with Donald Trump, with the President entering the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013. Consequently, upon becoming president, Donald wasted little time in inviting Linda and family to the oval office.
