The fourth season of Lucha Underground has been officially confirmed to premiere on June 13. The news was revealed through a promo that aired during Friday night’s Impact vs. Lucha Underground event in New Orleans.

The future of the promotion was rumored to be in doubt late last year due to the high budget of each individual episode taping but fans were assured that the promotion wasn’t going anywhere last November. Having a fixed date of when the show is going to return is surely going to excite longtime fans of the rising promotion.

This will also mark the first season that Prince Puma won’t be a part of Lucha Underground as he made his in-ring debut with NXT last night under his ‘Ricochet’ persona after signing with WWE earlier this year. Puma triumphantly won the world title in his final night with the company in a bout against Johnny Mundo where his career was on the line. Despite this, he lost the title moments later to Pentagon Dark in a match which his career was on the line again and subsequently left Lucha Underground for good.
Expect to see the likes of Pentagon Dark, Johnny Mundo and the rest of the roster compete in matches filled with the usual all-out insanity that Lucha Underground brings on a weekly basis starting June 13.
