A major WWE faction could be splitting up soon if some antics on last night’s June 5 episode of WWE Raw are anything to go by.
The show kicked off with WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins in the ring, being interrupted by Damian Priest and Finn Balor of Judgment Day.
Priest was set to challenge Rollins for the title in the main event of the show, so Rollins said Priest wouldn’t be able to get the win without the help of Balor, and challenged Priest to come out on his own with the rest of Judgment Day banned from ringside.
Balor was about to argue with Rollins about that, but Priest actually cut Balor off mid-sentence and accepted the challenge.
Balor then gave Priest a bit of an angry look for a few seconds – just long enough to make sure you know it’s supposed to mean something.
That wasn’t the end of it though, because during said main event, despite the agreement that he wouldn’t, Balor did end up showing up at ringside to try to help Priest.
Priest, however, wasn’t particularly happy about that, and asked Balor what he was doing out there – again in a way to make you think there was a meaning behind it.
Rollins did beat Priest and after the match had a staredown with Balor, likely setting up a match for the title either on TV sometime the next few weeks, or even at Money in the Bank in London on July 1.
Nonetheless, it appears WWE at least wanted to make people think there was some kind of issue between Balor and Priest last night, but whether it’ll lead to anything substantial, we’ll have to wait and see.
There have been reports throughout the past month or so that WWE management is very high on Priest and could potentially be looking at elevating him to a main event level.
Dominik Mysterio and Rhea Ripley, on the other hand, while still members of the Judgment Day, have kind of been off doing their own thing as a duo a bit more recently instead of being tied to Balor and Priest, such as last night when Mysterio seemingly set up a future match with Cody Rhodes.
