Matt Hardy has provided clarification on his current contract status following his AEW departure, and TNA Wrestling appearance.
Hardy allowed his AEW contract to expire at the beginning of April, noting that he was exploring all options available to him.
Amid speculation that Matt Hardy could return to WWE, the wrestling veteran made a surprise appearance for TNA Wrestling.
Matt Hardy attacked TNA World Champion Moose at Saturday’s Rebellion pay-per-view, seemingly revealing Matt Hardy’s new home promotion.
Hardy has now confirmed that he has not signed an exclusive contract with TNA Wrestling.
The former WWE and AEW name took to Twitter following his TNA appearance to share a link to the latest episode of his Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast. He shared it with a graphic that read:
Matt is in no rush to sign a contract.
When a Twitter user asked him whether or not he had signed with TNA Wrestling, Matt Hardy replied:
No. I’m a free agent. I will appear when I want to appear.
