Mercedes Mone Comments On Reported AEW Contract Offer AEW

Former WWE star Mercedes Mone (fka Sasha Banks) has reacted to reports about how much money she’s making following her AEW debut.

Following heavy speculation about her joining AEW, Mone finally made her debut during the March 13 Dynamite Big Business show.

There have been several reports about Mone’s deal following her announcement that she’s All Elite, with one report stating that unnamed female WWE star had noted that the number they were hearing would’ve made Mone the ‘highest paid woman in pro wrestling’.

Keven Undergaro, an advocate of Mone, also stated that the former WWE star received a generous offer from her ‘old home’, but stated that there was a rival company to give Mone another offer, which she ultimately accepted.

Mercedes Mone has now spoken with ESPN about her decision to join AEW.

Referencing recent talk about her big money deals, Mone said:

“I mean, I’m not Mercedes Moné for no reason. Money changes everything. I’m always about that bag. Absolutely.”

Mone isn’t entirely money-focused, with the former women’s champion noting that AEW gives er the opportunity to create history:

“I’m all about creating history. I’m all about creating magic, and I’m all about creating so much more. And that’s what AEW brings — so much more, more opportunity, more chances and more chances just to stand out and to be seen and noticed.”

“You can do so much more in AEW — you can do everything, and for me, I want to do everything. So, this is the place for me to be, and this is the place that I call home.”
