WWE Star Reacts To Mercedes Mone/Sasha Banks’ AEW Salary WWE

A WWE star has reacted to how much money Mercedes Mone (fka Sasha Banks) is being paid following her AEW debut.

Mone made her heavily teased AEW debut at Wednesday’s (March 13) Dynamite Big Business event.

With it recently being reported that Mone had talks with WWE before joining AEW, there has been a lot of speculation about her salary with her AEW deal.

Per Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, an unnamed female WWE star had noted that the number they were hearing would’ve made Mone the ‘highest paid woman in pro wrestling’.

Meltzer wrote:

One WWE woman star noted to us that they were hearing that the number was enough to make her the highest paid woman in pro wrestling and that they were thrilled at AEW for making the offer and happy for her to have accepted it, because in the long run it means it’s a better market for the top women wrestlers, noting,

“I think it sets a standard that woman should be paid, too. The women do great numbers and have huge social followings” and also said that it was “a huge deal for women in the industry who are paid a lot less than men.”

This all comes after reports in December 2023 which indicated that Mercedes Mone’s asking price was above what Charlotte Flair reportedly received on her new WWE deal.

After Charlotte Flair signed a new contract in December 2023, her deal was described as “one of the highest paid deals to a woman in WWE history.”

Mone has teased ‘unfinished business’ with another star following her Big Business appearance, which you can read more about right here.
