A scrapped pitch for WWE commentator Michael Cole to have a match against a now-former WWE star has now been revealed.
While Michael Cole usually remains professional when behind the commentary desk, one star who Cole would always take shots at was Top Dolla, following the now-released star botching a suicide dive on the December 16, 2022 edition of SmackDown.
Top Dolla has now taken to Twitter to reveal that he and Cole talked at length about bringing their rivalry to the ring, with Dolla outlining a pitch for the finish of their potential match.
Noting that Cole would’ve pinned him with a small package pin if the pitch was realised, Dolla wrote:
Me and Cole wanted a match at a PLE.
We even had it planned out. I throw him around for 5 minutes, I get cocky and get distracted by (insert any wrestler here) & he beats me with a small package 😂
Top Dolla was released from his WWE contract in September, during that month’s round of WWE cuts.
He last wrestled on TV during the August 11 edition of SmackDown, losing to LA Knight in singles action.
Michael Cole notably fired a shot at AEW during Monday’s (November 13) edition of Raw.
