A mixed crowd reaction to the Young Bucks tonight in CM Punk’s hometown of Chicago at AEW All Out 2023 as they teamed with FTR.
In a blend of real life meeting storyline, there was a truly mixed reaction from the crowd at AEW All Out 2023 to the big eight-man match featuring the Young Bucks teaming with FTR.
With the unlikely quad of tenuous allies, the Bucks and FTR, taking on the cohesive faction Bullet Club Gold (Juice Robinson, Jay White, Austin Gunn and Colten Gunn) the crowd were mercurial throughout the match.
While the Chicago crowd seemed very supportive of FTR, they continued to waffle on the Young Bucks. With some fans heavily booing but some drowning that out with cheers and chants, it was a spirited environment across the board.
There were also some fairly short CM Punk chants scattered in as well, especially at the start.
One thing Chicago could sort of agree on: taunting either Gunn with an “Ass Boys” chant and loving Juice Robinson, particularly amused at his mockery of the Bucks.
By the end of the match, the United Center seemed united in one chant, “A-E-Dub.”
The final moments saw Bullet Club Gold capitalize on their cohesion, standing tall in the end after Colten Gunn pinned Cash Wheeler.
After the match, FTR and the Bucks interacted rather cooperatively, with Nick Jackson being shown saying ‘I’m sorry, I was late,’ in reference to not breaking up the pin as the two pairs left the ringside area, still on good terms.
