Mixed Match Challenge, WWE’s inter-gender concept tournament, could become a regular fixture on the programming docket according to reports.
Asuka and The Miz were the winners of the inaugural tournament earlier this year, defeating Bobby Roode and Charlotte Flair in the finals.
Asuka and Miz will reunite to defend their crown in the next series of the competition.
Season 2 of the show debuts tomorrow night on Facebook Watch, with two matches scheduled per 30-minute episode, an increase from Season 1.
The tournament has also changed format, abandoning the knockout format in favour of a G1-esque round robin style competition.
The three-month tournament will climax with the finals taking place at the TLC pay-per-view on December 16.
From there, a third season is reportedly in the works from January 2019, with plans in place to keep the concept running throughout the year as a regular weekly broadcast.
Because the one thing WWE needs right now is more weekly content . . .
