MJF Says He Is Proud To Be At The Helm Of AEW ‘Restoring The Feeling’ AEW

AEW World Champion MJF says he is proud to be at the helm of AEW “restoring the feeling” at the end of 2023.

2023 has been a year of adversity and accomplishment for All Elite Wrestling. While the promotion has seen great heights with AEW All In London and the premiere of Collision, they have also seen lows in the loss of CM Punk and Jade Cargill.

The company suffered a significant blow to their active roster when Adam Cole went down with a serious ankle injury at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam. He was previously involved in a high profile storyline with AEW World Champion MJF.

However, All Elite Wrestling has bounced back with fans praising the Continental Classic tournament and stating that it is restoring the feeling for the promotion.

Speaking on SI Media with Jimmy Traina, MJF discussed Adam Cole’s injury and how it proved the company has such a stacked roster. He said:

“Look, my best friend got hurt. Of course, it blows. But with professional wrestling, the show must go on.”

“I feel that we as a company have just definitely proven we have such a stacked, incredible roster, and with me at the helm, the houses are starting to go up again.”

“The show, in my opinion, has gotten better and better every week. Nature is healing.”

“I feel like the company right now, there was a minute there where it felt like we were kind of in this rebuild phase, and I feel like right now, we’re really building some serious momentum.”

“There are fans online that say ‘restore the feeling,’ and I dig that line. I’m pumped because I feel like we are and we have, and we’re continuing to do so, and I’m proud to be at the helm of that,”

MJF also shared an update on his status ahead of his AEW contract expiring, which you can read more about right here.

Maxwell Jacob Friedman will defend the AEW World Championship against Samoa Joe on Saturday, December 30 at AEW Worlds End.
