AEW star MJF has slammed fans for trying to cancel Zachary Wentz/Green (fka WWE’s Nash Carter) following his controversial WWE release.
Green was released in early April after his wife Kimber Lee shared an image of Carter performing a Nazi salute having shaved his facial hair to resemble Adolf Hitler when he was 19.
The former NXT Tag Team Champion recently broke his silence on the matter, sharing a lengthy statement to Twitter, apologising for the incident.
MJF has since commented on the statement, writing:
“I lived with this man.
He’s not an antisemite.
Stop virtue signaling and let the man do his job.”
Replying to another Twitter user who noted that he hadn’t previously seen MJF break character, the AEW star noted:
“I’m not a character. I’m a person with a functional brain that doesn’t try to cancel people for a sexual thrill. Eat dicks”
The AEW star has since deleted both tweets.
MJF has referenced his Jewish heritage on numerous occasions on AEW TV, notably recalling anti-semitic abuse from football teammates during his childhood in an emotional promo on the February 23 edition of Dynamite.
Zachary Green will make his first wrestling appearance following his WWE release this weekend in Florida, which you can read about here.
Deleting both these tweets in T minus 5 minutes.
