Several former WWE stars have reacted to Sasha Banks and Naomi walking out on last night’s WWE Raw taping.
In case you’ve been living under a Dwayne Johnson, WWE has shared an official statement confirming that the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions left their title belts in John Laurinaitis’ office and left the arena, during Monday’s live broadcast.
Banks and Naomi were slated to wrestle in the six-way main event with Naomi reportedly set to win and earn a Raw Women’s Title shot against Bianca Belair at Hell in a Cell on June 5.
Additional reports noted that Banks and Naomi had been unhappy with the direction of WWE’s women’s tag division, with their pitch to defend the gold at Hell in a Cell reportedly nixed ahead of the walk-out.
Former WWE names including Mia Yim, Big Damo (fka Killian Dain of SAnitY) and Matthew Rehwoldt have reacted to the situation on Twitter:
