WWE/MLW
A new report has revealed an update on MLW’s future following their settlement with WWE.
On December 13, The Hollywood Reporter noted that WWE had reached a settlement in their lawsuit with MLW over “unlawfully interfering with MLW’s access to media markets” by pressuring third parties to abandon contracts and prospective relationships with MLW.
Following this news, Dave Metlzer in the F4WOnline Daily Update reported that MLW is looking at signing new talent, running more shows and bonusing talent following their settlement.
The report notes that it’s been pretty much acknowledged within WWE that Major League Wrestling got a significant amount of money in the settlement.
The money is a significant enough number for to the promotion to upgrade across different areas, but the only way that actual number would be released is by TKO in an SEC filing if the number is significant to WWE.
However, it is worth noting that a number significant to MLW is very possibly not significant to WWE at this point.
MLW recently announced former IMPACT World Champion Sami Callihan will be making his return for an upcoming event, which you can read here.
WrestleTalk will provide further updates on MLW’s future following their WWE settlement when they become available.
