There have been numerous returns and debuts at this weekend’s NXT house shows in Tampa on Friday and Fort Pierce on Saturday.
On the Friday Tampa show, Tino Sabbatelli made his return after being on the sidelines since May 2018 with a torn pectoral muscle.
Sabbatelli didn’t compete in a match but did come out and cut a heel promo in front of the crowd. One would assume he won’t be paired back up with previous tag partner Riddick Moss who recently debuted on Raw and is the current 24/7 Champion.
On that same show, Former WWN Champion JD Drake, who competes for EVOLVE, made his NXT debut by defeating former Raw colour commentator Dio Maddin.
Then on the Fort Pierce show yesterday, Taynara made her NXT in-ring return after reportedly walking out of the company in January over a financial dispute. She was wearing a t-shirt that had “RELEASED” written on it.
The Brazilian teamed with MJ Jenkins and Jessie Kamea in a losing effort to Aofie Valkyrie, Mia Yim and Rita Reis in a six-woman tag match.
There was also an in-ring debut for Jorge Bolly, better known as El Hijo de Fantasma or King Cuerno. He signed with WWE in August 2019 but suffered a knee injury postponing his debut.
Bolly teamed with Raul Mendoza to beat NXT UK’s Sam Stoker and Lewis Howley in a tag match in his debut outing.
