New Championship Match Added To AEW WrestleDream 2023 AEW

On tonight’s AEW Collision, a new championship match was announced for AEW’s upcoming WrestleDream 2023 pay-per-view.

FTR retained their AEW World Tag Team Championship in a match against the Iron Savages and move on to defend against the Workhorsemen next week on AEW Collision.

However looking even further ahead, Aussie Open won a squash match handily before getting on the mic to call out FTR.

If FTR retain their title again next week, they accepted Aussie Open’s challenge for AEW WrestleDream 2023 in Seattle.

Appearing in a backstage segment, Katsuyori Shibata (with a little help from his cell phone) made the announcement that he would be wrestling at AEW WrestleDream 2023.

However, his opponent wasn’t revealed.

Also on tonight’s show, Ricky Starks and Big Bill defeated Bryan Danielson and Claudio Castagnoli in tag team action, Andrade El Idolo beat Scorpio Sky before being confronted by Jay White, and Kris Statlander retained her TBS Championship against Britt Baker.

Starks vs Danielson was announced in a deathmatch for next week’s Collision, and there’ll also be a singles match between Andrade and White.

After Statlander retained over Baker, Julia Hart was shown watching on, seemingly teasing that she could be Statlander’s next challenger.
