New Day Appear on Being the Elite

With a raucous E3 crowd alternating between chants of “The! The! Elite!” and “New Day Rocks!”, the camera of the Jackson brothers was powered on to capture all the action. The Young Bucks’ YouTube channel, Being the Elite, covered the highlights of last week’s showdown at the video game convention between two of wrestling’s most popular factions. (Oh, and we covered it, too.)

As Kenny and the Jacksons huddle up to discuss strategy prior to facing New Day, the camera pans over to reveal none other than Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston, and Big E! Those WWE scoundrels! They were eavesdropping!

As surreal as it is to see top WWE stars rubbing elbows with three of New Japan’s best, it isn’t the first time this has happened. Last year, on a Canadian tour, you may recall Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens stumbling into an episode; while, at the same time, never being acknowledged by the Bucks for who they were.

This time the encounter was unabashed. Concluding the episode, the Elite kick around another wild idea. They could challenge New Day to a basketball game, or even a wrestling match, couldn’t they?

The world just gets crazier.

If you’re excited about a possible WWE-NJPW crossover, I recommend a pinch of salt first. WWE have a ruthless, business track-record and teasing a crossover might have more to do with courting NJPW stars in another talent raid.

Alas, who among us can say what the future holds?
