Nick Khan Addresses Stephanie McMahon Potential WWE Return Following Merger WWE

WWE CEO Nick Khan has addressed the WWE future of former co-CEO Stephanie McMahon following the company’s merger with the UFC.

Speaking to the Bill Simmons Podcast following the official first day of trading for TKO Group Holdings at the New York Stock Exchange, Khan was asked what the chances were of a return to WWE for Stephanie, to which he responded:

“Well, I don’t know what the future holds, but with Vince as the chairman of the company, Paul, the head of creative. Me and the role that I’m in, you know, Stephanie wanted to do something with WWE.

“Of course, WWE would embrace that. The WWE Universe would embrace that.

“I think she’s enjoying some time off. And you know the drill. After grinding hard as you’ve grinded hard as she grinded hard to take a few months off, she still has school-age children; she and Paul do. I think she’s enjoying herself.”

Stephanie initially announced a leave of absence from WWE in the summer of 2022, only to return to become co-CEO alongside Khan following Vince McMahon’s ‘retirement’ in July 2022.

This would be short lived however as Stephanie later resigned from the company proper back in January this year, just days after her father Vince returned to the company’s board of directors after being under investigation for sexual misconduct.

In the same interview, Khan addressed the circumstances leading to Stephanie’s official departure from WWE, saying he wished she hadn’t resigned from the company.

Another ex-WWE name mentioned to Khan following the TKO launch was former two-time AEW World Champion CM Punk, who was fired by AEW with cause on September 2.

Khan addressed the rumors that Punk could potentially be WWE-bound now that he’s a free agent, to find out what he had to say click here.
