Major NJPW Star To Debut On AEW Dynamite This Week? AEW

It is believed that top NJPW star Zack Sabre Jr will make his AEW debut on this week’s edition of Dynamite, ahead of Forbidden Door.

Previous reports have indicated that a number of notable NJPW names will appear on AEW TV this week to build to matches for this weekend’s crossover pay-per-view.

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that he has been ‘led to believe’ that we’ll see the British star on Wednesday’s show.

Pointing out that Zack Sabre Jr wasn’t on this week’s New Japan Road shows, Meltzer said:

“I have been led to believe Zack Sabre’s on the show on Wednesday. Nobody’s outright said it, but he’s already done the promos and everything like that. I do know that there’s supposedly going to be some newcomers on Wednesday’s show, and if Zack’s wrestling Danielson, he definitely should be one of them. And Zack – a good reason to predict that also, is he was not on the Korakuen Hall show today. So, he’s free. In other weeks he was not free because he was on all those shows.”

ZSJ has risen through the NJPW ranks in recent years, notably winning the New Japan Cup in March for the second time in his career.

Zack Sabre Jr called out Bryan Danielson for a match at Forbidden Door during his post-match interview after NJPW Dominion.

The match hasn’t officially been announced for Forbidden Door as of writing, with there being some uncertainty surrounding Danielson’s status for the event, which you can read about right here.
