AEW’s Paul Wight has ran down a shortlist of who he feels are the strongest stars he’s ever competed against in the ring.
Being billed at 500 lbs for much of his career, there was always a short list of people who could effectively handle Wight’s size across his career, with an even smaller list of those who could hoist him up off his feet.
Sitting down with talkSPORT, Wight named some of those select few and broke them down into several different categories of strength.
According to Wight, strongest in a mechanically functional way was John Cena, who Wight faced numerous times throughout his career, even being the 16-time world champion’s first WrestleMania opponent.
On Cena’s strength Wight amazingly said that being lifted up by Cena felt as if he was on a “concrete platform” rather than someone’s shoulders.
Wight then named his AEW colleague Mark Henry as the “most powerful human being” he had ever met in his life.
For “explosive power” Wight named Brock Lesnar and Bill Goldberg, both of whom managed to hoist up Wight for their respective finishers with relative ease.
Wight would also throw Kane into the mix as well, someone Wight had extensive experience both facing against and teaming with across his two decades in WWE.
