The launch of the WWE Network on Peacock in the United States has been met with a lot of criticism, but Peacock will be reacting.
One of the main disappointments viewers had was the lack of functions such as being able to rewind, start live shows from the beginning, and more.
In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer writes:
Those at Peacock informed us that regarding the WWE content, while match markers, virtual scrubbing of video timelines and the ability to rewind and fast-forward or start live programming from the beginning are not available on Peacock, the plan is to upgrade all of those issues. They anticipate offering live pause and restart controls and scrub bar previews by SummerSlam. Regarding search, entity-based discovery is on the product roadmap and they anticipate offering searching by name by September.
“By SummerSlam” sure does sound like a long time, so for once being an international viewer is proving somewhat useful.
Fastlane aired on both the WWE Network and Peacock in the US, but WrestleMania will be available on Peacock only.
