WWE ran a live event in Charlotte, North Carolina last night. During the show Raw Women’s Champion Nikki A.S.H defeated Rhea Ripley to retain her championship, with Charlotte Flair nowhere to be seen.
We now have details as to why Charlotte was not featured on the show. Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Charlotte was in Mexico City with her fiance, Andrade El Idolo, for his match at AAA TripleMania XXIX.
Meltzer said:
“I had been told sometime back that she was going to Mexico City. Obviously, she could not appear on the show (because) that would be a total violation of the contract but Ric Flair, who is a free agent, did appear on the show…so I presume that Ashley Flair was backstage as I was told she was going to be since she didn’t show up in Charlotte, her own hometown.”
Lucha Libre expert Rob Viper hinted on his Twitter account that Charlotte wanted to be a part of Andrade’s entrance on the show, but was strongly told no.
Heard a rumor another Flair wanted to be part of this entrance too and was strongly told no. 🤐

Ric Flair appeared on the show, delivering chops to Kenny Omega and locking Konnan in the Figure Four Leglock. Kenny Omega retained his AAA Mega Championship against Andrade El Idolo.
Also absent from last night’s WWE live event were Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair, who the company said were missing the show for ‘unforseen circumstances’.
