Released WWE Star Reveals Original Plans For Brock Lesnar Angle WWE

A released WWE star has discussed a past angle on WWE TV involving Brock Lesnar, revealing what the original plans following the spot were.

Former WWE stars Mace and Mansoor have answered some questions regarding their time in WWE in a new Q&A.

While perhaps most known for their run together as the Maximum Male Models, Mace was first introduced to the WWE audience as a commentator on 205 Live and then Monday Night Raw not long afterwards.

Under the name Dio Maddin, Mace provided commentary for the Raw brand between September and November 2019, with his stint ending following an attack from then-WWE Champion Brock Lesnar.

During a Reddit Q&A, Mace was asked about this interaction and a follow up tweet, in which Mace said his mom hadn’t raised a punk.

Answering whether there were any further plans in place for a future match with Brock Lesnar following the angle Mace said:

“Ha. So when it happened they told me I’d just be back on commentary next week.

“Then they told me (as I was boarding a plane to the UK) that I would be selling it for a week. Then another. Then another.

“Then they said they were going in a new direction with the commentary team.

“The tweet was me desperately trying to not get sent back to the PC like Mufasa falling to his death.

“Although as I understand it, a match was discussed, but Vince said it would be confusing to the audience because they didn’t know I wrestled.

“I was later told they changed directions because I was too big for commentary so I eagerly awaited my big push😏”

Mace would remain off WWE TV until August 2020, when he debuted as part of the RETRIBUTION faction alongside Dijak (T-BAR), Shane Haste (SLAPJACK), Mia Yim (RECKONING) and Mercedes Martinez (RETALIATION).

In the same Q&A Mace’s new ring name would also be revealed, click here to find out more.
