The replacement for injured WWE star Shotzi in an Elimination Chamber qualifying match on SmackDown has been revealed.
Taking to social media, WWE SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis made an announcement regarding this Friday’s episode of SmackDown after an injury that occurred at an NXT taping last night.
After Shotzi suffered a knee injury during an NXT Women’s Title match against Lyra Valkyria that was being taped to air next week, shake-ups in the plans for the Elimination Chamber qualifiers on SmackDown have been confirmed.
Aldis said:
“Good evening WWE Universe, it is your SmackDown General Manager, and ahead of this Friday’s SmackDown – 8/7c only Fox – I have some unfortunate news to kick things off.
“Shotzi is unfortunately injured and unable to compete so we wish her the best in her recovery, but it does mean that opportunity knocks for another superstar, and that superstar is Alba Fyre, so we wish her the best.
“On top of that, Zelina Vega one-on-one with Tiffany Stratton, Logan Paul one-on-one with The Miz, and… Roman Reigns, the WWE Champion and… oh, The Rock, will also be in attendance.
“I hear they like to cook – I have a few dishes prepared myself, if you catch my drift.
“Now, speaking of tasty dishes, I’ve got a dinner date with the wife (Mickie James), so, see everybody Friday. Happy Valentine’s Day.”

That seems to mean that in addition to replacing Shotzi, the qualifying matches were shuffled a bit now featuring Zelina Vega taking on Tiffany Stratton and Naomi taking on Alba Fyre.
The original line-up had Naomi facing Zelina Vega and Tiffany Stratton taking on Shotzi.
Elsewhere set for SmackDown, as mentioned by Aldis, a men’s Elimination Chamber qualifying match between Logan Paul and The Miz, as well as appearances from Roman Reigns and The Rock.
