Rey Mysterio Replaced By WWE Star

Rey Mysterio Replaced By WWE Star WWE

After losing his United States Championship and undergoing knee surgery, Rey Mysterio has now been replaced by another WWE star.

WWE’s website page has updated a couple of pages where Mysterio was featured, removing him, potentially because of his title loss, his time away for surgery, or maybe a combination of both.

Mysterio is set to be out of action for six to eight weeks following his surgery.

Firstly, the ‘WWE Shows’ page features banners for Raw, NXT and SmackDown with each banner featuring six stars from that specific brand, pretty much signifying that WWE sees those six names as the six biggest stars of the brand.

Mysterio had featured on the SmackDown banner but has now been replaced by the man who beat him for the US Title, Logan Paul.

Paul now features on the SmackDown banner alongside Charlotte Flair, Bianca Belair, Roman Reigns, LA Knight and IYO SKY.

There’s also a banner on the ‘WWE Superstars’ page that currently features 24 WWE stars – once again, Mysterio was on there but has now been removed, and once again, Logan Paul is the man who’s replaced him on there.

In one other change to the ‘Superstars’ banner since we’re on the topic, AJ Styles, who is actually due to make his return imminently, has been replaced by NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria.

As mentioned, Rey Mysterio, who was just betrayed by Santos Escobar to turn Escobar heel, will be out of action for up to two months after undergoing legitimate knee surgery.
