As announced at the end of this week’s episode of Being the Elite, the latest match for ALL IN has been revealed, and it is Fenix, Bandido and Rey Mysterio, taking on the Young Bucks and Kota Ibushi, who are otherwise known as the Golden Elite.
The announcement of Rey Mysterio’s inclusion in ALL IN came during rumors of his impending return to WWE; rumors that are still ongoing. Mysterio has made surprise appearances for WWE this year in the Royal Rumble and the Greatest Royal Rumble, while also competing for New Japan Pro Wrestling at Dominion in a six-man tag match against Cody, Hangman Page, and Marty Scurll.
This will be the first time the Young Bucks and Kota Ibushi will wrestle as a team since the formation of the Golden Elite at Dominion. The Young Bucks currently hold the IWGP Tag Team Championships, NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Championships with Marty Scurll, and the Ring of Honor World Six-Man Tag Team Championships with Cody. Ibushi is currently sitting at six points in the G1 Climax, leaving him tied with Zack Sabre Jr. and Sanada for third place in the B Block.
The match is now the third official match announced for ALL IN following the announcements of Kazuchika Okada vs. Marty Scurll and Joey Janela vs. Hangman Page. Cody is continuing his campaign to face the NWA World Heavyweight Champion at ALL IN while nothing has been officially announced at this time.
