WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley has thanked Australia following today’s Elimination Chamber event in Perth.
The main event of today’s Elimination Chamber event saw Ripley defend the title against Nia Jax in her home country.
Following the show, Rhea took to Twitter, where she broke character to thank her fellow Aussies for the reception during the show.
She wrote:
Australia… Thank You! #WWEChamber
The show also saw a Women’s Elimination Chamber match to determine the number one contender for Rhea’s title at WrestleMania 40.
The match was ultimately won by Becky Lynch, setting up a title match between the two for WrestleMania.
Triple H heaped praise on Rhea following the show, sending her on her way to her clash with Becky at WrestleMania 40.
Rhea wasn’t the only Australian WWE star to make a homecoming on the show, with Grayson Waller hosting an episode of the Grayson Waller Effect with Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins.
Indi Hartwell also competed on the show in her home country, teaming with Candice LeRae in a losing effort to the Kabuki Warriors for the Women’s Tag Team Championship.
Australia… Thank You! ❤️🇦🇺#WWEChamber
