Ric Flair On The Rock: ‘They’d Have Had To Build New Arenas For Him In My Prime’

Ric Flair and The Rock are two of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time. Without a doubt they are two of the best talkers in the history of the business, a fact that is not lost on Flair.

During his recent appearance on Kevin Hart’s Cold as Balls Season Finale, Flair had high praise for The Rock. He stated that had The Rock been around during Flair’s prime, “they would have had to build new arenas”.

Flair also went on to talk about how The Rock had the skills to sing and play an instrument, which helped make him as entertaining as he is. Here is the quote, courtesy of Wrestle Zone:

“When I see him, he’s just so damn entertaining. He’s got skills where he can sing, play an instrument—I didn’t have that, but I had that energy, the work ethic.”

Ric Flair and The Rock had limited interaction during their time in WWE. The Rock had mostly left for Hollywood by the time Flair had returned to WWE in 2001 but the two did have a singles match in July 2002.

Flair was also involved in The Rock’s last WWE match for seven years when Evolution defeated the Rock ‘n’ Sock Connection at WrestleMania XX.
