WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair made his surprise AEW debut on this week’s (October 25) episode of AEW Dynamite.
Flair was presented as Tony Khan’s ‘gift’ for Sting on the show ahead of the Icon’s upcoming retirement at Revolution in 2024.
Flair and Sting’s meeting was interrupted by TNT Champion Christian Cage, who ran down Flair on the mic during the segment, leading to Christian, Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne challenging Sting, Darby Allin and a partner at Full Gear.
Taking to Twitter after the show, Flair reflected on the segment, sending a message to Christian following his promo on Flair.
He said:
Don’t Make The Mistake Of Making It About Me @Christian4Peeps! I’m Along For The Ride. I’m Here To Support My Friend @Sting!
If You Continue To Make It About Me, We’re Going To Have A Problem! WOOOOO!
