GCW has confirmed that the ROH World Championship will be defended during the upcoming Blood on the Hills show.
Following Final Battle, the last live event before ROH’s announced hiatus, Jonathan Gresham stated that he intends to defend the ROH World Title during the promotion’s absence. Gresham had noted that all of his defences will be contested under pure rules.
During tonight’s (December 17) GCW Blood on the Hills event, AJ Gray will challenge Gresham for the gold. GCW announced the match change on Twitter:

The JON GRESHAM vs AJ GRAY match at #GCWBlood will now be for the ROH World Championship and will be contested under Pure Rules!

Also on the show, the Briscoe Brothers will defend the GCW Tag Team Championship against Brody King & PCO. The Briscoes are also ROH Tag Team Champions, defeating The OGK for the gold at Final Battle.
Brody King has reportedly signed with AEW. His debut for the promotion was teased by Malakai Black during Wednesday’s Dynamite: Winter Is Coming episode.
