Roman Reigns Reportedly Not Expected To Take Extended Time Off WWE

There is a major update to the evolving story of Roman Reigns and his mysterious summer schedule.

According to a report from Andrew Zarian, Roman Reigns is not actually expected to be taking extended time off.

Per the Tweet:

“Spoke to someone over at WWE regarding Roman & his schedule moving forward. It’s not expected for Roman to take extended time off. He will be on PLEs & TV. The only change will be with smaller market house show, which is why he showed his gratitude to the fans in Trenton NJ.”

It was previously speculated that given his comments over the weekend at a house show in New Jersey and word that he had signed a new contract with WWE that perhaps Roman had altered his contract to either take a significant amount of time off this summer to potentially shoot a movie or just working fewer shows overall.

It appears Reigns won’t be working as many house shows, but will still be appearing on TV and working Premium Live Events, even though WWE.com removed him from all advertisements besides Money in the Bank and SummerSlam in the months of July and August.

Roman Reigns remains the unified WWE Champion having bested Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 38 to win both major championship titles in the company.

He recently teamed with fellow Bloodline members, the Usos to take on Drew McIntyre and RK-Bro at WrestleMania Backlash where they were successful in beating the trio with Reigns pinning Riddle for the win.
