Roman Reigns Bloodline Member Trying To Join WWE

An Anoa’i bloodline family member has revealed that he’s working on getting a certain backstage role with WWE.

With The Rock and Roman Reigns forming an alliance, the Anoa’i wrestling dynasty has been highlighted on WWE TV in recent weeks.

Lloyd Anoa’i (aka LA Smooth, Alofa), the son of Afa the Wild Samoan, has revealed that he has been trying to join WWE as a backstage producer.

Speaking with Steve Fall of WrestlingNews.co, Lloyd recalled scrapped plans for the Tribal Court segment on the January 23, 2023 edition of Raw.

Revealing that he’s hopeful that he’ll become a WWE producer one day, Lloyd said:

“I was supposed to be there. They had us all coming in and one of us got sick. They wanted everybody there. They couldn’t get everybody there.

“They changed the plans and all that. I’m trying to go back as a producer with them. I actually did the package for SummerSlam with my family. That was a great opportunity. We’ll see what happens.

“Hopefully, somewhere down the line I can go back and be a producer and retire with that. I’m still wrestling but going on 37 years, I put in a lot of time.”

Noting that he helped out with the video package hyping up Roman Reigns and Jey Uso’s Tribal Combat match ahead of SummerSlam 2023, Lloyd said:

“They had the vision and I went and helped with my uncle. We went down to Pensacola, Florida. We went over there and did his thing about our Ula (red necklace). Who better to explain it than my dad and my uncle?

“I helped them with that, went there and did a thing with my dad and on the way there, we did something with Bianca Belair too. It was fun, it was interesting. It was something that was a little more experience for me to see that and help with it. I was honored.”

Lloyd Anoa’i previously wrestled for ECW between 1992 and 1996. He last wrestled at an independent event in August 2022.

Lloyd is a first cousin to WWE Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns, who is the son of Sika Anoa’i.

This means that Lloyd Anoa’i is closer related to Roman Reigns than any member of the current Bloodline faction.
